Osteopathy is manual medicine that is concerned with diagnostic, treatment and prevention of health problems and diseases related to the musculoskeletal system and its related structures (soft tissues, body fluids, blood circulation, neural and visceral) aiming to contribute of restoring the natural structural mechanics of the body and thus restoring normal physiological function and improving self-healing. It helps treat a wide range of medical conditions, by looking at the body as one unit.

Osteopathy is considered complementary to other medical specialties and is not indispensable for it. Therefore, it is advised to consult a specialist doctor before starting treatment.
